And more importantly (to me at least, as I have hundred if not thousands of legacy songs/projects), these services go away, and you don't have them anymore in five years as they are out of business and you are just straight up fucked. but if I had to login and 're-subscribe' every time I wanted to use my Soundtoys plugs ins or whatnot, I'd be pretty pissed. I'm a guy who works on a lot of different projects, and sometimes will go months without working at all, and I will have certain plugs I will lean on for a bit, then move on. there are some that are fair, like kinda the 'rent to own' Xfer Serum model, and Roland allows you to retain one or two a year last I checked, but companies like Avid can eat it in my opinion, as what they do isn't right. sigh.īut yeah, it's been awhile, and I'm not up to date on all subscription plans or how they have changed.
